Catholic Women's League
The Catholic Women’s League (CWL) warmly welcomes women of all ages to grow in faith, friendship, and service. Rooted in Gospel values, the CWL is a vibrant community of Catholic women dedicated to supporting one another while serving God, the parish, and the wider community.
The CWL has been an active and cherished part of St. John Chrysostom Parish since 1925, faithfully serving both our parish family and the Newmarket community for over 100 years.
Throughout the year, the CWL sponsors guest speakers, retreats, social gatherings, and parish events that encourage spiritual growth and meaningful connection. Members also support outreach initiatives, advocate for those who are marginalized, and provide companionship and encouragement to women at every stage of life. The League proudly supports our local schools by donating children’s religious books to their libraries each year.
One of the highlights of the year is the annual CWL Christmas Bazaar held each November — a beloved parish tradition enjoyed by the entire community.
Whether you are new to the parish or have been here for many years, the CWL offers a wonderful opportunity to deepen your faith, build lasting friendships, and make a difference in the lives of others.
We invite you to join us and become part of this caring and faith-filled community of women.
