Community Bread is a heartfelt, grassroots ministry dedicated to serving those in our community who are experiencing hunger or social isolation.
Each Monday evening, volunteers come together to prepare and serve a warm, nourishing meal to approximately 100 guests. More than just a meal, it is also a place of welcome, dignity, and friendly conversation for those who may be food insecure or simply in need of connection.
Our ministry is made up of five rotating teams of 10–12 volunteers. Each team takes a turn serving once every five weeks. On their scheduled evening, volunteers gather between approximately 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., with flexibility depending on individual availability.
Many volunteers find great joy in serving alongside friends and family, while also forming new connections within the parish community. Most importantly, they leave knowing they have made a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
If you feel called to be part of this rewarding ministry, or would simply like to learn more, we would be happy to hear from you.
